What is male pattern hair loss?
Male pattern hair loss is a common condition in which men experience thinning of the hair on the scalp. Often, this results in a receding hairline and/or balding on the top of the head. These changes typically begin gradually in men in their 20's. It's believed to be related to an excess of male hormones in the body. Doctors refer to this type of hair loss as androgenetic alopecia.
Will Avodart work for me?
For most men, Dutasteride increases the number of scalp hairs, helping to fill in thin or balding areas of the scalp. Men taking Avodart noted hair regrowth during the first 6 months of use.
What are the possible side effects of Avodart?
As with all drugs, Dutasteride has possible side effects. Clinical studies showed that side effects were uncommon and did not affect most men.
